Bobby Owen Osmer, 82, of Imperial died Jan. 1, 2016. Mr. Osmer was the owner and president of Reliable Container Service from 1972-1985, retiring in March of 1985. He was a member of Solid Rock Ministries for 40 years and a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Arnold. He was born June 4, 1933, in Armorel, Ark., the son of the late Willie J. and Girley M. (Downing) Osmer. He was preceded in death by his wife: Betty Jean (Wallace) Osmer.
He is survived by four children: Mike (Connie) Osmer of Oakland, Ind., Johnny (Jennifer) Osmer of Imperial, Paula (Scott) Beecham of Olive Branch, Miss., and Kim (Stan) Wright of Arnold; two siblings: Merle Whitaker and Shirley (Wayne) Jaques; and seven grandchildren: Shaun Osmer, Shane Osmer, Dawn Exler, Johnny Kirk Osmer, Marcus Beecham, Morgan Beecham and Jason Osmer; and nine great-grandchildren: Trinitee, Liam, Abbey, Destinee, Marley, Aspyn, Lawson, Brodee and Jude.
He was preceded in death by a son: Gary Don Osmer; a brother: Freddie Osmer; and three sisters: Helen Crain, Mary Lois and Dorothy Mae Osmer.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 8, at Solid Rock Ministries, 899 Gravois Road, in Fenton. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at Solid Rock Ministries. Burial is in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery, 1925 Old Hwy M, in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to Bethel Pentecostal Church in Arnold. Arrangements are under the direction of J. B. Smith Funeral Home in Fenton.
