Billie Darlene Sperry, 73, of Festus died Jan. 14, 2017, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Sperry was a homemaker and attended Immanuel Lutheran Church in Crystal City. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and enjoyed going to the movies and casinos. Born Dec. 11, 1943, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Bill and Mabel (Briley) Key.
She is survived by her husband of almost 54 years: Paul Sperry of Festus; a son: David (Amy) Sperry of Palm Harbor, Fla.; two daughters: Michele Bollman of St. Louis and Dawn (Robert) Maust of Hilliard, Ohio; three brothers: Michael (Dottie) Key of Festus, Edward (Pam) Key of Festus and Frank (Gensy) Key of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister: Ruthann (Frank) Meyers of Festus; and six grandchildren: Alecia, Andrew, Bradley, Jordan, Jason and Brendan.
A memorial gathering is at 10 a.m. and a memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 221 Brierton Lane, in Crystal City, officiated by Pastor Kyle Castens. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell Blvd., St. Louis, 63108. Arrangements are under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus.
