Beverly J. “Bev” Seyfarth, 69, of De Soto died July 20, 21, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Seyfarth was a bus driver for the De Soto School District and a member of St. Rose of Lima Church in De Soto. She was born Dec. 28, 1951, in De Soto, the daughter of the late L. Earl and Rose A. (Whitter) Byers.

She is survived by her husband: Joseph A. Seyfarth; three children: Tonya N. Seyfarth of Bonne Terre, Tammie J. (Bill) Yates of De Soto and Tiffany (Josh) Yates of De Soto; four siblings: Dan (Mary) Byers of De Soto, Barry (Cheryl) Byers of Washington, Rose Ann (Lindell) Cole of De Soto and Christy (Chris) Amsden of Festus; and eight grandchildren: Aaron and Lydia Dean, Tyler, Kenzie and Natalie Yates, and Joselynn, Chloe, and Barret Yates.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Monday, July 26, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., De Soto. Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 27, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 504 S. Third St., De Soto, officiated by Father Alexander Anderson. Burial will be in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. Memorials may be made to the Open Door Sanctuary, 6065 Duda Road, House Springs, MO 63051, or the Dragon Seat Drive for seating in the new De Soto school auditorium to 610 Vineland School Road, De Soto, MO 63620. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
