Betty Loraine Vineyard, 86, of Festus died Feb. 13, 2015, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Vineyard was a member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church in rural Festus and formerly worked in the Duplate department at PPG Industries in Crystal City. She enjoyed listening to her police scanner and watching her beloved St. Louis Cardinals and evangelist Joel Olsteen on television. While at Crystal Oaks, she enjoyed playing bingo with the other residents and getting out for rides in the country.
She was born Feb. 22, 1928, in Festus, the daughter of the late Viola (Pucket) and Joseph McKee. She was preceded in death by her husband: Wyman Rudolf Vineyard.
She is survived by a daughter: Joyce Vineyard of Festus; two sons: Marvin (Debra) Vineyard of Festus and Jimmy (Janice) Vineyard of Bonne Terre; two granddaughters: Marisa Vineyard of St. Louis and Katie Vineyard of Festus; a sister: Peggy McKee of St. Louis; and two brothers: Allen (the late Pam) McKee of Defiance and Ted McKee of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She was preceded in death by two brothers: Bobby McKee and William J. (the late Lorene) McKee.
Visitation is scheduled from 2-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main, in Festus. Visitation is at 10 a.m. and funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Faith Baptist Church, 11835 Hwy. CC, south of Festus, officiated by the Rev. John Weaver. Burial will be in the Presbyterian/Methodist Cemetery in Festus. Memorials may be made to Faith Baptist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
