Betty Lee Helms, 77, of De Soto died Aug. 11, 2018, at her home. Mrs. Helms was a homemaker. She enjoyed crocheting, raising her children and being a foster mother. She was a member of Charter Baptist Church in Festus. Born May 16, 1941, in Rolla, she was the daughter of Alice (Miller) and Sidney Jones.
She was preceded in death by her husband: James Lloyd Helms.
She is survived by eight sons: Sid (Cheryl), Tom (Kim), Terry, Jim (Julie), Dirk, Scott (Shannon), Damion and Tony Helms; four daughters: Beth (Dennis) Guenther, Chrissie (Joe) Madonna and Crystal and Shauna Helms; two brothers: James (Delpha) and David (April) Jones; four sisters: Gail White, Debbie Jones, Glenda (Bo) Valle and Faye (Rick) Lawson; 31 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by three sisters: Dorothy Jones, Carol Delport and Patricia Thomas.
Services were private. Memorials may be made to Charter Baptist Church in Festus. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Funeral Home, De Soto.
