Betty LaMar, 92, of Arnold died Dec. 20, 2022. Mrs. LaMar was a 50-plus-year member of the VFW Post 2593 Auxiliary. She was born April 12, 1930, in Pine, Mo., the daughter of the late J.C. and Maude (Roberts) Sanders. She was preceded in death by her husband: Jerome T. LaMar.
She is survived by loving mother of Norman (Elaine) LaMar, Paul (Jeanne) LaMar, Virgil (Shirley) LaMar and Judy (Steven) LaMar-Wilson; eight grandchildren: Cody LaMar, Douglas LaMar, Lindsay Muller, Jennifer Muller-Higgins, Aaron LaMar, Adam LaMar, Amanda LaMar and Leslie (Don) LaMar-Massey; 13 great-grandchildren: Miabella LaMar, Destiny LaMar, Ruby Bub, Liam Bub, Kirstie Ellias, Hailey Massey, Cole Massey, Mylie Massey, Trenton Higgins, Brenlynn Higgins, Jessie Muller, Jerome Hawkes and Jasmine Hawkes; and one great-great-grandchild: Zayden LaMar.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, at Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home, 1081 Jeffco Blvd., in Arnold. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the funeral home. Burial is in the National Cemetery at Jefferson Barracks. A memorial gathering will be follow at 4:30 p.m. at VFW Post 2593, 2301 Church Road, in Arnold. Arrangements are under the direction of Heiligtag-Lang-Fendler Funeral Home.
