Bessie L. Trojahn, 81, of De Soto died March 21, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Trojahn was a homemaker and a member of VFW Post 1831 Auxiliary. She was born
April 21, 1940, in De Soto, the daughter of the late Della and Ella (Courtaway) Boyer. She was preceded in death by her husband: Richard Trojahn.
She is survived by four children: Penny Ipock of De Soto, Ricky (Debbie) Dollar of Festus, Mike (Kelly) Dollar of De Soto and Adam Dollar of De Soto; five siblings: Lena Wicker, Danny “Sock” (Judy) Boyer, Earl (Joyce) Boyer and Gerald (Kay) Boyer, all of De Soto, and Barb (Jerry) Coleman of Hematite; a brother-in-law: George Hoffman of Blackwell; a sister-in-law: Judy Boyer of Farmington; 12 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Tammy Harper; two sons-in-law: Randy Harper and Lloyd Ipock; a sister: Ella Mae Hoffman; two brothers: Donald Boyer and Wyman Boyer; a sister-in-law: Sandy Boyer; a brother-in-law: Avery Wicker; a grandson: Jason Dollar; and a great-granddaughter: Melany Dollar.
A funeral service was held March 26 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by the VFW Auxiliary. Burial was in the Calvary Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
