Bertha A. Alderson, 90, of De Soto died March 13, 2022, at Hillcrest Care Center in De Soto. Mrs. Alderson was born June 17, 1931, in Grubville, the daughter of the late Otto and Bertha May (Rogers) Hunning. She was preceded in death by her husband: Vester Alderson.
She is survived by two children: Doris (Ambrose) Maltagliati of Imperial and Jim (Waynetta) Alderson of St. Louis County; two grandchildren: Matt (Dana) Maltagliati and Kellie (Michael) Whitton; and two great-grandchildren: Halen Whitton and Auden Whitton. She was preceded in death by two sons: Donald Alderson and Jerry Alderson; two sisters: Ina Glock and Dorothy Gass; and a brother: Delmar Hunning.
Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. until a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by the Rev. Ron Barton. Burial is in the Oakland Baptist Cemetery at Mammoth. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
