Bernita B. “Bernie” Marquardt-Wilde, 82, Arnold
Bernita B. “Bernie” Marquardt-Wilde, 82, of Arnold died Sept. 20, 2021, at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis County. Mrs. Marquardt-Wilde was the executive director of Christians Linked in Mission. She was a member of the Arnold Historical Society and St. John’s Lutheran Church in Arnold. Born Nov. 8, 1938, in Adell, Wis., she was the daughter of the late Eleonore (Rohde) and Berthold Miske.
She is survived by her husband: Roy F. Wilde of Arnold, and she was preceded in death by her first husband: the Rev. Mervin Marquardt.
She also is survived by three children: Thene (Roger) Sheehy of Fenton, Melanie (Randel) Lohmeyer of Naperville, Ill., and Lanette Marquardt of Fresno, Texas; two siblings: Robert (Christel) Miske of Sheboygan, Wis., and Richard (Debra) Miske of Orange City, Iowa; three grandchildren: Matthew and Justin (Brooklyn) Lohmeyer and Jesse Theis; her family from her second marriage: Steve (Glenda) Wilde, Matthew (Judy), Sarah and Nathan Wilde; and several great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters: Gertrude Shaver and Lois Schnake.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday (Sept. 27) at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 3517 Jeffco Blvd, in Arnold. Burial will be in Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart. Memorials may be made to the Arnold Historical Society, 1723 Jeffco Blvd., Arnold, 63010, Feed My People, 171 Kingston Drive, St. Louis, 63125, or St. John’s Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Kutis South County Chapel in St. Louis County.
