Bennette E. Oxendine, 59, High Ridge

Bennette E. Oxendine, 59, of High Ridge died June 11, 2021, in Byrnes Mill. Mr. Oxendine worked in construction and was a mechanic. He enjoyed baseball and bowling. Born Oct. 25, 1961, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Bennette E. Oxendine Sr. and Linda Neel and was the stepson of Ray Etheridge.

He is survived by a sibling: Rebecca (Richard Smalley) Oxendine-Chesney of High Ridge; a nephew: Remy T. Chesney of High Ridge; four aunts: Iris Kennedy of North Carolina, Joyce Tyndall of Nebraska, Donna Pitkanan of Arnold, Yvonne Neel of Cape Girardeau; two stepsisters: Kim Chasteen of Hillsboro and Jennifer Deckard of Hillsboro; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Jasper and Alma Oxendine and Willard and Teenie Neel; two uncles: Roger Neel and Darrell Neel; and an aunt: Norma Best.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday (July 10) at Royale Orleans, 2801 Telegraph Road, in St. Louis County. Burial will be in High Ridge.
