Barbara Jean Matthes, 69, of Perryville died Sept. 22, 2015, at Belleville Memorial Hospital in Belleville, Ill. Ms. Matthes was a home health care provider. Born Nov. 8, 1945, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Charlotte (Cassell) Matthes.
She is survived by a brother: Raymond (Carole) Matthes of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by a brother: Bobby Matthes; and a foster brother: John Daniels.
A funeral service was held Sept. 25 at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto, officiated by Pastor John Greever. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements were under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
