Barbara Helen Haynes, 91, of Arnold died Oct. 27, 222, in St. Louis. Mrs. Haynes maintained her British citizenship while living in the United States. She was an accomplished watercolor artist, loved traveling the world with family and friends and had a tremendous green thumb, spending much of her time in the garden. Born July 17, 1931, in Salisbury, England, she was the daughter of the late Cyril George and Helen (Broadbent) Trotman. She was preceded in death by her husband: David William Morley Haynes.
She is survived by two children: Jennifer Helen (Edward J.) Carpenter and Simon David (Natasha A.) Haynes; a daughter-in-law: Laura Haynes; six grandchildren: David, Chelsea, Katie, Rachel, Emma and Barbara; three great-grandchildren: Andre, Isabel and Brayden, with another on the way; and many other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by a son: Peter David Morley Haynes.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 1301 Big Bend Road, in Kirkwood. A celebration of life will take place from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Mrs. Haynes’ home. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
