Barbara Ann Riggs, 66, of Pevely died Sept. 30, 2019, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Riggs had worked as a quality inspector for Edge Manufacturing in Pevely. She was a member of Calvary Chapel and enjoyed watching and feeding birds and spending time with her grandchildren. Born April 4, 1953, in Festus, she was the daughter of Norman and Geraldine (Cooksey) Vessell.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband: Clyde “Dennis” Riggs; a son: Matthew (Rebecca) Riggs of Festus; three daughters: Dawn (Brandon) Dickson of Festus, Sherry (Jeffrey) Voss of Crystal City and Amanda (Jeffrey) Wideman of Herculaneum; two brothers: Barry (Cindy) Vessell of De Soto and Darrien Vessell of Hillsboro; a sister: Cathy Politte of Festus; nine grandchildren: Kayla, Abegail, Samantha, Katie, Emma, Kiersten, Mayson, McKenna and Jocelyn; and three great-grandchildren: Aiden, Connor and Camden.
A funeral service was held Oct. 5 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus, officiated by Pastor Scott Parker. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1118 Hampton Ave, St. Louis, 63139-3196. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
