Barbara Ann Ott, 79, of Arnold died Jan. 29, 2023, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mrs. Ott was a lifelong resident of Arnold and is remembered fondly by her family and friends. Born Aug. 4, 1943, in St. Louis, she was the daughter of the late Jane (Monika) Spies and John Richard Ray.
She is survived by two sons: Michael (Lee Black) Ott of Lake Placid, Fla., and James (Michelle) Ott of Imperial; five grandchildren: Craig (Brittany) Ott, Clinton Ott, Jozianne Black-Brennan, Lucas Ott and Tyler Ott; two great-granddaughters: Abigail and Addison Ott; and a stepbrother: Mark Lunte of Jefferson County. She was preceded in death by a sister: Nancy (Eugene survives of Fenton) O’Hara.
Mrs. Ott chose to donate her body to St. Louis University Medical Center. According to her wishes, no public gathering will be held. Arrangements were under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.
