Barbara Ann (Henneman) Traiteur, 86, of Catawissa died Jan. 23, 2022, at St. Andrews at Francis Place in Eureka. She was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Parish in House Springs. She was active in Missouri Right to Life and was a pro-life advocate, participating in the first pro-life march in Washington, D.C. She loved traveling with her husband, vacationing in Florida, and spending time with family members. Born Sept. 15, 1935, in Alton, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Allan Henneman and Mable (Marrow) Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her husband: Gale Joseph “Moe” Traiteur.
She is survived by three children: Linda (Leonard) Bolte of House Springs, Michael (Alesia) Traiteur of Rogersville and Valerie (Kevin) Schlote of Catawissa; 12 grandchildren: James (April) Bolte, Lisa (Jeff) Hawkins, Theresa (David) Colp, Julia (Matt) Waggoner, Melissa (Brian) Broadbent, Ashley (John) Hampton, Kristy (Nick) Grannemann, Kathleen (Chris) Henderson, Chase (Denise) Cook, Rachel (Dylan) Schopper, Joseph Schlote and Jason Schlote; three siblings: Stanley “Sonny” Hamilton of Corpus Christi, Texas, Theodore “Teddy” (Cindy) Hamilton of Florida and Ann Faragher of Sullivan; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. today (Jan. 26) at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Hwy. 30, in Cedar Hill. A Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday (Jan. 27) at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 4696 Notre Dame Lane, in House Springs. Burial will be in Our Lady Queen of Peace Cemetery in Byrnesville. Memorials may be made to Our Lady’s Inn, 4223 S. Compton Ave., St. Louis, 63111. Arrangements are under the direction of Chapel Hill Mortuary in Cedar Hill.
