Ava Williams died Oct. 30, 2019, at Children’s Hospital in St. Louis, the day after she was born at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis. Ava was the daughter of Renee (Williams) Rankin and Charles Sampson of Bonne Terre.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by five siblings: William Rankin, Mason Rankin, Trevor (Cheyenne) Sampson, Brady Sampson and Jacob Sampson; a nephew: Conner Sampson; her grandparents: Linda (Joe) Sikes of Cadet and Ray (Shirley) Williams of Bonne Terre; and two great-grandfathers: Don Rogers and William Blum, both of De Soto.
She was preceded in death by two grandparents: John and Theresa Sampson; and three great-grandparents: David Williams, Shirley Williams Rogers and Frances Blum.
Visitation is at 10 a.m. and a funeral service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Dietrich- Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main St., in De Soto, officiated by Alvin O’Neal. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich- Mothershead Funeral Home.
