Audrey “Fern” Street, 86, of Hillsboro died Nov. 4, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Street was retired from the Beemis Bag Co. Born Oct. 30, 1931, in Bunker, she was the daughter of the late Goldie (Candom) and Ed Wilkins.
She is survived by her husband: Gilbert Street, whom she married Jan. 14, 1946, in Bunker; three daughters: Brenda Scott of Festus, Linda Latham of De Soto and Glenda (Eddie) Schutte of Festus; two brothers: Gilvia Wilkins of Lebanon and Gilbert Wilkins of Doe Run; two sisters: Betty Forsyth of Imperial and Norma Lee Stevens of Ava; five grandchildren: Doug (Stacey), Charlie (Linda), Gilbert (Kelly), Kimberly (Mark), and Felisha (Jimmy); 12 great-grandchildren: Rickey Jr., Ashley, Casey, Charles Paul, Brittanie, Tara, Allison, Matthew, Andrew, Haley, Morgan and Jessica; and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons-in-law: Joseph Scott and Steve Latham; a sister: Caroline Beers; two brothers: Claude Winford Wilkins and Louis Norman Wilkins; a grandson: Rickey (Tina survives) Gorman; and a great-grandson: Christopher Gorman.
Visitation is scheduled at 4 p.m. and a funeral service at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 8, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Chaplain Cody Alley. Graveside service is scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Bunker Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
