Arthur Henry Buscher, 86, of Festus died Jan. 1, 2019, at de Greeff Hospice House in St Louis County. Mr. Buscher worked as a welder for Union Electric. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of American Legion Post 352 in Festus and Elks Lodge 1721 in Crystal City. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed college sports, cooking and spending time outside working around his farm. He was always willing to extend a helping hand. Born Oct. 3, 1932, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Arthur Vincent and Ardella (Kaltschnee) Buscher. He was preceded in death by his wife: Lenna (Boyd) Buscher.
He is survived by two sons: Michael (Melissa) Buscher of St. Louis and Stephen Buscher of Festus; a granddaughter: Kathryn Buscher of St. Louis; and two sisters: Ardella “Sug” Thompson of St. Louis and Sister Elizabeth Ann Buscher of Chicago, Ill.
A memorial gathering was held Jan. 7 at Mahn Twin City Chapel in Festus. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, NY 10004. Arrangements were under the direction of Mahn Twin City Chapel.
