Arthur Gary Orrick, 65, of De Soto died Oct. 16, 2020, at SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton. Mr. Orrick was a plant operations supervisor for St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis. He was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church in De Soto, where he had served as a Sunday school teacher and trustee Born Dec. 30, 1954, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Arthur Howard and Glenda B. (Jaycox) Orrick.
He is survived by his wife: Sharon E. (Stone) Orrick of De Soto; a son: Jason (Aimee) Orrick of De Soto; three grandchildren: Kyrie, Samuel and Elliana; a sister: Beth (Charles “Rusty”) Johnston of Festus; a sister-in-law: Stephanie Hamby of Imperial; a brother-in-law: Brian (Vanessa) Min of St. Louis; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Kathy Lynn Orrick and Karen Parker.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth St., in De Soto. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the church, officiated by Brother Bob Thebeau. Burial is in the Woodlawn Cemetery in De Soto. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 15455 Conway Road, Chesterfield, 63017; to the American Heart Association, 460 N. Lindbergh, St. Louis, 63141; or to First Free Will Baptist Church, 1401 S. Fifth St., De Soto, 63020. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home in De Soto.
