Amy Elizabeth Hardin, 24, of Washington, Ill. died Oct. 26, 2014, in Washington. Ms. Hardin was a 2008 graduate of Washington Community High School and attended Illinois Central College before completing her bachelor’s degree in 2012 at Missouri Baptist University in St. Louis County. She worked as a paraprofessional at Lincoln School in Morton, Ill., and as a child care worker at Five Points Washington. She was a member of Ro-Land Manor Baptist Church in Sunnyland. Born March 16, 1990, in Decatur, Ill., she was the daughter of Pastor M. Steve and Debra St. John Hardin of Washington.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by a brother: Christopher Hardin of Chillicothe, Ill., and aunts and uncles Denise (Fred) Moreland of Union, Neda Hardin of St. Louis, Jim (Diane) Hardin of Odessa, Fla., and Lisa (Maria) Hardin of St. Louis. She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Jack and Jeannie St. John and Shaw and Ethel Hardin.
Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Joe Gardner. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, in the Shepherd Hills Cemetery in Barnhart.
