Le Clair, Alverta

Alverta “Rae” Le Clair, 71, of De Soto died July 3, 2017, at her home. Mrs. Le Clair was an accountant with Certified Funding and a member of Victoria United Methodist Church. She was born March 2, 1946, in Pittsfield, Ill., the daughter of the late Alto and Wanda (Sisk) McNary. She was preceded in death by two husbands: Lindell Claus and Edward Le Clair.

She is survived by four children: Mark Le Clair of Andover, Minn., Todd Le Clair of Trevor, Wis., Brad Le Clair of Quincy, Ill., and Julie Rodgers of Mesquite, Texas; a daughter-in-law: Gidget Claus of Quincy, Ill.; five siblings: Roberta “Bobbie” (Charles) Rigdon of De Soto, Phyllis “Jeannie” Frische of Payson, Ill., Nancy Anthony of Quincy, Ill., Amella (Mike) Shade of Ft. Wayne, Ind., and Frances (Tony) Boone of Payson, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffrey Claus; a sister, Barbara Corder; and two brothers-in-law: Don “Duck” Anthony and Rodney Corder.

A memorial gathering is scheduled for 10 a.m. and a memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday, July 14, at Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home, 220 N. Main, in De Soto, officiated by Stephanie Rustage. Memorials ma be made to the ASPCA or the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the direction of Dietrich-Mothershead Funeral Home.
