Allyson Renee (Bryant) Maupin, 61, Hillsboro

Allyson Renee (Bryant) Maupin, 61, of Hillsboro died Feb. 17, 2022, at her home. Mrs. Maupin was a 1979 St. Charles High School graduate, and she earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis and a master’s degree from Webster University. She taught American history at Mehlville Middle School for 29 years and retired in 2012. She was a member of Raintree Church in Hillsboro where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She enjoyed quilting, especially for the Quilts of Valor, and spending time with family and friends. Born Feb. 2, 1961, in Alton, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Robert and Fannie (Santu) Bryant.

She is survived by her husband: Harris L. Maupin of Hillsboro; a stepdaughter: Britt (John) Henningsen of St. Louis County; three daughters: Maria Maupin of Hillsboro, Anna (Bobby) Wideman of De Soto and Tamara Lukina Maupin of Hillsboro; five grandchildren: Sophie and Hope Henningsen, and Lila, Sophia and Fletcher Wideman; a sister: Tracy (Davis) Pfiefer of St. Louis; and a brother: Thomas (Lois) Bryant of St. Charles.

A memorial gathering will be from 3-7 p.m. on Friday (March 4) and then resume from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday (March 5) at the Robert D. Brown Funeral Home, 103 Fourth St., in Hillsboro.
