Allan Wade Strange, 49, of Festus died June 1, 2014, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City. Mr. Strange was a manager with Costco Wholesale in south St. Louis County. Born Oct. 26, 1964, in Bonne Terre, he was the son of Faye (Robert) Sitzes Hazen of Festus and Max (Jackie) Strange of North Carolina.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife: Cheryl (Davis) Strange; a daughter: Madeline Strange; four sisters: Ame Hawkins of St. Louis, Liz Govero of Crystal City, Marielle (Bob) Rosenberger of Harrisburg, Pa., and Sharon (Scott) Palotas of Meadville, Pa.; his parents-in-law: Charles and Christina Davis of Barnhart; two brothers-in-law: Charles “Keith” (Debbie) Davis of St. Louis and Christopher (Debbie) Davis of Imperial; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, June 4, at Vinyard Funeral Home, 616 W. Main in Festus. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 5, at Windsor Baptist Church, 6701 Hwy. 61-67 in Imperial, officiated by Pastor Robert Sterling. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home.
