Allan “Ross” Cowin, 74, of Bonne Terre died Sept. 15, 2016, at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Mr. Cowin was a business owner and a member of the American Legion post in Farmington. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Born May 12, 1942, in St. Louis, he was the son of the late Charles and Mildred (Phelps) Cowin.
He is survived by his wife: Lana (Basden) Cowin; five children: Shelly (Tracy) Odgers, Aaron (Regina) Cowin, Angela (Kevin) Flieg, Brian (Tonya) Cowin and Rebekah Cowin; 12 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five siblings: Peggy Lilly Nelson, Charles Cowin, Jerry (Karen) Cowin, Mike (Carol) Cowin and Robin (Joyce) Cowin.
A funeral service was held Sept. 19 at Sunrise Baptist Church in Bonne Terre. Burial was in the Sandy Baptist Church Cemetery in Hillsboro. Arrangements were under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
