The turkey's not even in the oven, much less Thanksgiving leftovers divvied up -- but if you're already in the Christmas spirit -- or want to be -- head to Kimmswick on Saturday (Nov. 17).

The annual Kimmswick Christmas Parade will begin at 11 a.m. at Fourth and Market Streets, pass by all the businesses in town and end at City Hall, Third and Elm streets.

Windsor High School band students will lead off the parade, and the parade marshal will be Bernard Laiben, the chairman of the Jefferson County Bicentennial Committee.

There is no specific theme, other than the holidays. After the parade, Santa will visit with children at the Kimmswick Visitors Center, Elsa and Anna will perform at the Apple Butter Pavilion, and the Windsor band will play several selections.

Free, horse-drawn trolley rides through the town will be offered.
