two-vehicle accident patrol patch

Two men were hurt in a traffic collision Saturday afternoon (June 29) at Hwy. 21 and Hwy. 110 just north of De Soto.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that Larry Dickens, 56, of Bonne Terre was driving a 2007 GMC 2500 pickup south on Hwy. 21 at 2:50 p.m. and was turning left onto Hwy. 110 but did not notice a northbound 1993 Jeep Cherokee driven by Jason Gibson, 41, of Hillsboro, and the right front corner of the pickup struck the front of the Jeep.

Dickens sustained serious injuries and Gibson moderate injuries; both were taken by Valle Ambulance to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, the report said.

Updates on their conditions were not available.
