The 2026 FIFA World Cup is coming to Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City in June, and ticket prices range anywhere from a couple hundred dollars to upward of thousands.

In the World Cup, 104 matches will be played across 16 sports venues in Canada, Mexico and the United States. Six of those matches will be played at Arrowhead over the span of nearly a month.

The first match will be held June 16 between Argentina and Algeria, and the final match will be a quarterfinal July 11.

While ticket prices continue to fluctuate, the Missourian compared ticket prices as of Tuesday evening across five secondary market sites: Ticketmaster, Seat Geek, StubHub, Vivid Seats and Tick Pick.

Here is what a buyer can expect if they are looking to purchase a ticket from a third-party platform:

Cheapest matches on average

The three cheapest matches available for buyers as of Tuesday are the group games: Ecuador and Curacao on June 20, Netherlands and Tunisia on June 25 and Austria and Algeria on June 27.

For the June 20 match, the average upper deck price is $510.40 and the average price for a lower bowl ticket is $906.29.

The June 25 match averages $359.63 for a nosebleed seat and $626.40 for the lower seats.

The June 27 game is the cheapest of the three group matches, averaging $279.13 per upper deck ticket and $399.78 for the lower bowl.

Most expensive matches on average

Three matches will see a high price increase because of the magnitude of the game.

The three matches are the June 16 group match where defending World Cup champion Argentina will take on Algeria, a Round of 32 matchup July 3 and a quarterfinal matchup July 11.

The group match June 16 is more expensive, given a high demand to see Lionel Messi and the defending champion, Argentina, in its only scheduled match in Kansas City. The average upper-deck ticket price is $1,042.92, and it is $1,628.91 for the lower deck.

The Round of 32 game July 3 is cheaper than the Argentina-Algeria matchup. Ticket prices are $899.17 on average for nosebleed seats, and for the lower seats, they average $1,537.80.

The July 11 match will be the most expensive to attend in Kansas City, given it is a quarterfinal game. Upper-deck ticket prices average $2,620.30, and lower bowl prices are averaging $5,793.10 per ticket.

Amtrak increases capacity

With the World Cup coming to Missouri, Amtrak plans on adding railcars to provide more capacity on the Missouri River Runner train service.

The expansion will increase the capacity of each train by 25% and will be in effect from June 15 to July 12.

Mid-Missouri residents can board at the Jefferson City train station, and it will be about a three-hour train ride to Kansas City, including a few stops along the way.

On June 20 and 25, as well as July 3 and 11, a train ticket will cost $49, and the train will depart Jefferson City at 10:35 a.m. and arrive in Kansas City at 1:50 p.m.

For June 16 and 27, a ticket will cost $67, with the same departure and arrival times.
