One person sustained life-threatening injuries in a shooting in central Columbia Saturday night.
 
Columbia Police Department's Lieutenant Anthony Bowne said officers responded to a shots-fired call at 700 North Garth Avenue of the Oak Tower apartment building at about 9:30 p.m.
 
Bowne said officers provided emergency care to the victim, who was later transported to a local hospital with life-threatening gunshot injuries.
 
Bowne said one person is in custody, and there was no active threat to the community.  
 
The investigation is ongoing.
