A University of Missouri student is barred from campus after being arrested on charges of burglary and domestic assault.

Maxwell Warren, 18, of Overland Park, Kansas, is accused of strangling someone in a university residential hall after the victim blocked him on Snapchat, according to court documents.

Warren is prohibited from Mizzou classes and other activities while awaiting further investigation into the allegations, said Christopher Ave, a spokesperson for the university.

"If Warren is released from jail and attempts to enter Mizzou’s campus, he is subject to arrest," Ave said in an email to the Missourian.

He was charged with felonies of first-degree burglary, second-degree domestic assault, first-degree domestic assault and misdemeanor fourth-degree domestic assault, according to court documents. Warren is currently being held in Boone County Jail without bond.

A confined docket hearing is scheduled for Nov. 10 and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for Dec. 9.
