Arnold man admits to harassing, stalking woman

Jamie Brand

Jamie Lee Brand, 43, of Arnold has admitted to threatening to kill a St. Louis County woman after she ended a relationship with him. He repeatedly called the woman and two people close to her following the breakup, according to court documents.

Brand is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 7 in St. Louis County after pleading guilty to first-degree harassment and first-degree stalking, both class E felonies that each carry a penalty of up to four years in prison, court records show.

Brand had been released on a $5,000 bond after pleading guilty on Aug. 18. However, the court revoked his bond on Oct. 23 because he failed to check in with pretrial services and tampered with a GPS device he had been ordered to wear, court documents show.

Brand was arrested on Oct. 26, and as of Monday, he was being held on a $30,225 bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, according to jail records.

According to a probable-cause statement filed in February by the Creve Coeur Police, a woman ended a relationship with Brand on Feb. 9, and he stormed out of her home that night only to return later and bang on her door. She said he left after she threatened to call the police.

However, Brand continued to call her and two people close to her through Feb. 19. He allegedly threatened to kill the woman during some of the phone calls, the report said.

During that time, Brand also started using a different phone to call the woman after she had blocked him from calling her phone, according to the report.
