The two Paris, Missouri, women who were accused of hiding a suspect in a Ralls County homicide investigation have been charged with second-degree felony murder.

The Monroe County Prosecuting Attorney's Office filed the charges against Lois Armour, 78, and Patty Armour, 51, on Friday. The two women still face charges of hindering the prosecution of a felony in connection to the Oct. 12 incident.

A probable cause statement alleges that on that day, Lois Armour and Patty Armour hid Charles Armour, 57, while detectives were searching for him in connection to the shooting death of Jonathan J. Floyd of Perry in Ralls County.

Investigators with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Randolph County Sheriff's Office found Charles Armour concealed in a bathroom with a handgun in Lois Armour's and Patty Armour's residence in Paris, according to court documents.

Documents said Charles Armour shot at officers, striking one. Officers returned fire and shot and killed Charles Armour, according to the Highway Patrol Division of Drug and Crime Control.

The felony murder charges were filed in connection to Charles Armour's death. A person can be charged with felony murder when someone dies during the commission of a felony, even if the defendant didn't directly cause that person's death.

Lois Armour and Patty Armour each have initial appearances set for 9:30 a.m. Nov. 10 at the Monroe County Courthouse. The suspects are being held at the Randolph County Jail without bond.
