A stretch of Hwy. H in the De Soto area is scheduled for improvements either late this summer or early fall, the Missouri Department of Transportation has announced.

The project calls for the stretch of Hwy. H from Hwy. WW to Hwy. 21 to be resurfaced. Also, shoulders will be added, MoDOT reported.

During the project, there will be lane closures, but no complete closures, a MoDOT spokesperson said.

The Hwy. H work is part of an overall project, which also includes improvements to stretches of Hwy. E and Hwy. H in Washington County and Hwy. N in Crawford County. Pace Construction Co. was awarded a $9,260,000 contract to complete all those improvements.

The agency said the contractor will start grading in late summer or early fall. Once more precise timelines are established, MoDOT will alert the public through signs, news releases and social media.
