Arnold Police are searching for a 35-year-old St. Louis man who allegedly stole a computer from a guest at the Pear Tree Inn, 1201 Drury Lane, in Arnold. The theft happened about 3:30 p.m. July 24, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge reported.
A 37-year-old Highlandville man who works for Burlington Northern Railroad said his backpack containing a Toshiba work computer was taken from the breakfast room at the hotel. The computer was valued at $1,319, the report said.
Police identified a St. Louis man as a suspect. Police don’t believe the man was staying at the hotel at the time of the alleged theft, according to the report.
As of July 31, Arnold Police had not located the suspect, and the computer had not been recovered, Wooldridge said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
