A 37-year-old Crystal City woman reportedly was found with illegal drugs when she was arrested for trespassing in a condemned home in the 2100 block of Christy Drive in Arnold. A 28-year-old Arnold man also was arrested for trespassing at the home, Arnold Police reported.

At about 9:30 p.m. June 14, officers saw a 2007 Buick Lucerne with its trunk open parked outside the home, which was deemed uninhabitable and condemned on June 10. A posting at the house stated no one was allowed inside past 4 p.m. each day, the report said.

Police found the woman in the kitchen, and the man, who owns the home, was in the basement. The woman told police she had given the man a ride to the house, and he was gathering some of his belongings from the basement. After arresting the pair, officers allegedly found a smoking pipe in one of the woman’s pants’ pockets, as well as another pipe, a bag containing a substance believed to be methamphetamine, white capsules containing a white powdery substance, a container containing a white powdery substance and another container containing what appeared to be marijuana inside the woman’s purse, the report said.

The two were taken to the Police Station, where they were booked and released pending application for warrants. Depending on results of the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of meth, possession of marijuana, possession of controlled substances, possession of drug paraphernalia and first-degree trespassing. A first-degree trespassing charge will be sought against the man, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
