The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of three windows from a home that is being renovated in the 6500 block of Jenny Court in Cedar Hill. A woman, who does not live at the home, told the investigators she saw two men take the windows while picking up her child at a nearby bus stop, police reported.

The woman said two men loaded three 36-inch-by-38-inch vinyl windows into a gray GMC pickup. She said she called the person who lives at the home, and that person said no one should have been at the house at that time, the report said.

The men and pickup left before a deputy arrived, according to the report.

The Sheriff’s Office did not provide an estimated value for the stolen windows.

As of Sept. 16, none of the windows had been located, and the men had not been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
