A window was smashed in a pickup parked outside the Drury Inn in Arnold, and an unloaded gun magazine was taken from the truck. The cost to repair the window was estimated at $2,460, and the magazine was valued at $40, Arnold Police reported.
A 29-year-old Stockton man told police he parked his 2018 Chevrolet Silverado outside the hotel, 3800 Hwy. 141, at about 7 p.m. Aug. 17. When he returned to the pickup at about 6:30 a.m. Aug. 18, he found the passenger-side window shattered and the 10-round Glock 30 magazine missing, the report said.
Officers found a screwdriver and broken glass on the ground next to the pickup. They were able to get a fingerprint from the pickup, which was sent to the lab for analysis, Arnold Police reported.
As of Aug. 26, no suspects had been identified, and the magazine had not been recovered, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. Anyone with information about the incident should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
