A barn in the 7000 block of Willies Way in Cedar Hill was significantly damaged by a fire on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24.
Cedar Hill Fire Protection District crews were notified of the blaze at 8:06 p.m., and arrived on the scene eight minutes later, Fire Chief Mick Fischer said.
“We had a small barn with heavy fire showing (when crews arrived),” Fischer said. “It was believed to have started from an outdoor wood stove.”
The fire was under control by 8:31 p.m., Fischer said. No injuries were reported.
While the fire significantly damaged the barn, Fischer said the farmer who owns the property may attempt to make repairs.
“Farmers are pretty resourceful,” he said.
High Ridge, Eureka, and Hillsboro fire protection districts and Big River Ambulance District assisted with the call.
