A wallet containing $200 worth of items was stolen from a purse at the St. Louis Bread Co., 201 E. Fifth St., in Eureka. The theft happened about 9:45 a.m. March 15, Eureka Police reported.
A woman told police she had left her purse on a table at the restaurant when she went to place an order, and someone went through it, taking a wallet that contained $70 in cash, debit and gift cards and a checkbook, the report said.
As of March 29, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Capt. David Wilson said. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
