The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism at the Fenton Church of the Nazarene, 365 Saline Road. The church was vandalized between Feb. 13 and noon Feb. 14, the Sheriff’s Office reported.
The vandals apparently got into the church through an unlocked front door and “tore apart” the church offices, tipping over file cabinets and throwing papers around the floor. Nothing appeared to be stolen. However, intruders caused an estimated $400 worth of damage to two interior doors and frames and a drawer on a desk in an office, the report said.
As of Feb. 26, no arrests had been made, Sgt. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
