Crystal City Police are looking for what they believe to be juveniles who caused thousands of dollars of damage in the last week by spray-painting cars, garage doors and fences through a large swath of town.
Police took six property damage reports early Jan. 19, and the incidents occurred in the 200 block of Jefferson and Taylor avenues, and extending north, Crystal City Police Capt. Mike Pruneau said.
Three more incidents were reported Tuesday morning (Jan. 24), including damage to fences at the high school baseball facility at Fults Field in the 1100 block of Taylor.
“The damage is in the thousands of dollars, probably $15,000 to $20,000 if I had to guess,” Pruneau said. “They got two cars and sprayed profanities on the doors and fences.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Crystal City Police at 636-937-4601.
