Arnold Police are investigating damage to two pickups parked at Hemann Automotive. It appears the damage occurred while someone tried to steal at least one of the pickups but was unable to start either one, Arnold Police reported.
Police were called to the automotive repair shop, 3205 Jeffco Blvd., after an employee discovered the damage. The employee said the damage would have occurred between about 5 p.m. Sept. 10 and at about 8 a.m. Sept. 13, the report said.
The door handles on a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado were damaged, and its steering column cover was removed, resulting in about $800 in damage. Door handles also were damaged on a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado, and its steering column cover was removed, and that damage was estimated at about $550, according to the report.
On Sept. 23, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said no suspects had been identified. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
