The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified a 34-year-old Cuba man and 42-year-old Farmington man as suspects after a motorcycle was stolen from a dealership in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The motorcycle was abandoned in a wooded area behind the business, police reported.
Deputies were called to Hams Auto Sales, 1638 Old Hwy. 141, when a neighbor allegedly saw the men abandon the motorcycle. The green 2023 Kawasaki ZX6R was stolen from the business between midnight and 3:30 a.m. July 20, the report said.
The garage door to the business was left open overnight, allowing the men to steal it, according to the report.
The Sheriff’s Office does not provide approximate values for stolen vehicles.
As of Aug. 7, the men had not been charged for the alleged burglary, spokesman Grant Bissell said. The Leader will not identify the men unless they are charged with a crime.
