Festus Police are investigating the recent theft of two catalytic converters from a recreational vehicle parked at the Red Roof Storage, 600 Horine Road. The damage to the RV was estimated at $1,400, Chief Tim Lewis said.
He said the thefts were discovered Jan. 1.
“The 64-year-old victim, a woman, said she had parked her 2015 Chevrolet 4500 motor home at the storage facility.” Lewis said. “The last time they checked on the vehicle was roughly two weeks before (the theft was discovered).
“When they started it, they found its two catalytic converters were stolen.”
