Police are trying to locate a pickup in connection with the theft of a trailer from property on Wicks Road near Iron Mountain Road in Arnold. Surveillance video allegedly shows a man drive the white Dodge Ram 2500 to the property and haul away the Rice utility trailer valued at about $2,500, Arnold Police Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.

The victim, a 57-year-old St. Louis County man, called Arnold Police to the property on Wicks Road after video surveillance showed the trailer being stolen at about 2:10 a.m. July 6, the report said.

A lock on a chain securing the property’s entrance was cut off, and a lock securing the trailer also was cut. The surveillance footage allegedly shows a heavy-set man drive the pickup to the property, get out, attach the trailer to the pickup and drive away, Arnold Police reported.

As of July 15, the trailer had not been recovered, and the man driving the pickup had not been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. Anyone with information about the theft should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
