Festus Police are investigating a theft of $2,600 in miscellaneous tools stolen from a van parked at a home in the 200 block of North Second Street. The tools were stolen overnight between Nov. 17 and Nov. 18 and the theft was reported about 10 a.m. Nov. 18, Festus Police Capt. Doug Wendel said.
“The (2006 Ford) van was not locked,” Wendel said. “The victim left the van at 4 p.m. the day before and found the items missing upon returning.”
