Eureka Police are investigating the theft of tools worth about $1,080 from a worksite in the Windswept Farms development. The tools belonged to VIC Builder’s Bloc of Chesterfield, police reported.
A Dewalt chop saw, Dewalt table saw, air compressor and 100-foot extension cord were stolen from the work site in the 500 block of Rolling Meadow Drive. The tools had been secured at the site with a metal cord and padlock, the report said.
A Builder’s Bloc employee told police the tools were secured at about 2 p.m. April 1. When workers returned at about 6:30 a.m. April 4, the tools were gone, according to the report.
As of April 7, none of the tools had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Lt. Michael Werges said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call Eureka Police at 636-938-6600.
