Arnold Police are investigating the theft of tools from an unlocked storage compartment in a pickup parked outside a home in the 1500 block of Sunset Drive. The tools were valued at $2,755, authorities reported.
The victim, a 27-year-old Arnold man, told police he heard tires squeal outside his home at about 3:25 a.m. Sept. 20. He went outside a few minutes later and discovered the tool compartment was open in the bed of his 2012 Ford F-650 and the tools missing, the report said.
The victim said he forget to lock the compartment the night before, according to the report.
As of Sept. 30, the tools had not been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
