A trailer parked at a construction site in the 6500 block of Buckingham Palace Drive in Imperial where a home is being built recently was broken into and tools were stolen. The theft occurred between 2:30 p.m. April 6 and 6:30 a.m. April 7, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

It looked like someone used some sort of prying tool to force open the trailer door and then stole an air compressor and a variety of tools, including drills and air guns. Altogether, the damage to the trailer and the stolen items were valued at $3,300, the report said.

As of April 14, the stolen items had not been recovered and there were no suspects or arrests, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. He asks anyone with information about the incident to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
