The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the theft of tools from a work truck parked outside a home in the 600 block of Louisbourg Drive east of Hillsboro. The owner of All Exteriors said the tools were worth about $5,000 and were stolen from unlocked utility cabinets in his 2007 Dodge Ram pickup used for his home-based business, police reported.
He said he believed the tools were stolen at about 2:45 a.m. June 14, according to the report.
As of June 30, none of the stolen tools had been recovered, and no suspects had been identified, spokesman Grant Bissell said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
