Tires, tools and other items worth more than $2,200 recently were stolen from a Northwest School District shed in the 4200 block of Gravois Road in House Springs. The theft happened between 7 a.m. Nov. 6 and 6 a.m. Nov. 7, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Stolen items included four tires, a backpack sprayer, a Troy-Bilt weed eater, two socket sets, a wrench, a meter and other items. In all, the items were valued at $2,258, the report said.

It looked like the culprit cut a hole in a chain-link fence to get onto the property and then stole the items from the unlocked shed, according to the report.

Deputies found items at the scene near the fence that the suspect had left behind, the report said.

As of Tuesday (Nov. 22), the stolen items had not been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Lt. Gary Higginbotham said. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
